Voice practitioner and lecturer in Voice at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Mel trained as an actress and has an MA in Voice Studies from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, she has taught in a number of leading drama schools and training centres and was introduced to the work in 2008 by Ros Steen. Mel has worked with professional Voice users including doctors, barristers, teachers, motivational speakers and has most recently been developing and researching the work with D/deaf actors in training and performance. She co-presented her initial findings within the Scottish Parliament for Scottish Innovation 2017 and for Culture Republic, Developing D/deaf Cultural Engagement at Glasgow Film Theatre.
