Head of Voice and the Centre for Voice in Performance, School of Drama, Dance, Production and Screen, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Jean first met Nadine in 2006 and has been working with Nadine George Voice Work (NGVW) since then, both as practitioner and teacher. At RCS, NGVW is taught across all undergraduate and postgraduate performance programmes in the School of Drama, where it is the core vocal training. A graduate of RCS, Jean’s original training in piano was as a classical musician. She went on to develop a successful practice in singing training for actors and musical theatre performers prior to meeting Nadine. Jean is now investigating the integration of NGVW into established musical theatre singing practices. Jean’s consultancy work as vocal coach and voice director is in both spoken and sung voice. She has worked with many Scottish theatre companies including the National Theatre of Scotland, Citizens Theatre and the Royal Lyceum Theatre. Jean is Artistic Associate in Voice at Dundee Repertory Theatre, a Donald Dewar Arts Award Trustee and a keen advocate of Scots Language.
